A history by the sea

La Parcela was born from an initiative of local families in the Dominicalito area around 1960, when a group of visionary partners came together to begin shaping this wonderful place you enjoy today. Since then, we have grown while maintaining our warmth, personalized service, and passion for fine cuisine.

La Parcela is considered by many visitors to be one of the best restaurants in the South Pacific region and its surroundings. Our specialty is preparing and serving our dishes with love and care, using fresh products primarily from the abundant sea that surrounds us. We are known for our friendly and welcoming service.

Nature and Pacific views

The lush nature and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, especially the Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet, are among our greatest attractions for our guests to enjoy. Trees over 140 years old, bathed in the fresh sea breeze, enchanting aromas wafting from our kitchen, and the tranquility of being under the care of a team of people who love what they do every day—you are undoubtedly in the right place and time to enjoy yourself, your family, and friends.

We are located at Punta Dominical, distinguished by a small island approximately 200 meters from Dominicalito Beach. Thanks to our prime location, La Parcela is surrounded and bathed by the sea on both sides of the restaurant, creating an incredible experience.

Experiences

Sunsets and humpback whales

For decades, La Parcela has been a favorite spot to watch spectacular sunsets and breathtaking sunrises, delighting visitors from Costa Rica and around the world who fall more in love with the country every day. From July to October each year, we are incredibly blessed to be visited by magnificent humpback whales. Thousands of our guests have witnessed and enjoyed this incredible spectacle from the comfort of their own tables, thanks to our exceptional service.

Near our restaurant, you can also enjoy fantastic nature walks; the area offers countless tours and attractions. Dominicalito Beach is just a 100-meter walk from the restaurant, as are Marino Ballena National Park, waterfalls, and hot springs.

Along the coast and in the bays surrounding La Parcela, you’ll find designated fishing excursions and small local boats selling fresh seafood, the source of our delicious dishes, prepared with love and dedication.
